1. All photographers - professionals and amateurs alike - can participate. There is no restriction on gender, age or nationality.
2. The theme of the competition is "People in Motion".
3. The competition commences on Swiss National Day, 1st August 2006, and closes on 30 April 2007 (date of posting). All entries must be received by the Jury by 30 April 2007 (date of posting).
4. Entries should be submitted to the competition Jury in the following ways: email: (competition@roundshot.ch), via file transfer protocol (for example: www.yousendit.com) or on a CD (mail) to Seitz Phototechnik AG, Roundshot Competition Jury, Hauptstr. 14, 8512 Lustdorf / Switzerland.
5. The image(s) submitted for the Competition must have the following characteristics:
- panorama(s) with dimensions (height x width) of at least 1:3
- panoramas with an image angle of at least 90°
- in colour or black & white
- digitised, either in tiff or jpg format
- two files, one in low resolution (jpg) with a width of 1,000 pixels,
another in high resolution (jpg or tiff) in print quality (up to 100 MB)
There is no restriction on the number of panoramas submitted. However, we encourage participants to select their very best images and submit those panoramas that are most likely to win.
6. The panorama(s) can be taken with any camera.
7. The Winner will be announced by the end of May 2007 by publication on the Roundshot website and in the media.
8. The Jury selects the winner according to the following criteria: expression, creativity and technical merit. Winning panoramas interpret the theme "People in Motion" by capturing objects in full motion (for example in sports, people, a street scene) and reflect the full beauty of life in a lively image.
9. To enter the Competition, entrants must provide Seitz Phototechnik with:
- their first name & name, year of birth, full address, postcode, country, email address, website (if applicable) and phone number
- the panorama(s) according to the specifications outlined in point 5
- a short caption and a text for each image that interprets the image and the theme
- a digital image (portrait) of the photographer in colour or black & white
10. Each entrant confirms that:
- all details provided in their entry are true and correct
- the image(s) submitted as part of their entry is their own original creation and work and does not infringe the rights (including copyright) of any other person or entity
- the image(s) submitted has not been published before and has not entered another Competition
- he or she agrees to indemnify Seitz Phototechnik in relation to any loss or damage resulting from any breach of warranty
11. All entries received by the Jury before the deadline and that satisfy the criteria set forth in point 5, 9 and 10 will be accepted into the Competition.
12. There is one category only. The prizes for the winners are:

13. The prizes may not be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
14. The Prize Winners will be notified by email, telephone or mail as soon as reasonably possible following the decision taken by the Jury. The Prize Winner's names, years of birth and towns/countries where he or she lives will be announced on the Roundshot website as well as in press releases issued by Seitz Phototechnik and in the resulting press coverage (both internet press and printed press).
15. Seitz Phototechnik may use any information (including personal information) provided by an entrant to contact him or her for any reason in relation with the Competition.
16. The entrant retains copyright in their photograph, however, each entrant irrevocably agrees that Seitz Phototechnik may at its discretion use any entry (including any photograph) in any way and for any purpose, without notice and without any fee being paid to the entrant.
17. The decision of the Jury in relation to any aspect of the Competition will be final and will be binding on every person who enters the Competition. No correspondence will be entered into. Legal disputes are excluded.
18. To the full extent permitted by the Law, Seitz Phototechnik will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses or loss whatsoever (whether direct or consequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize, including without limitation non-receipt of the prize or damage to any prize in transit.
19. If there is an event beyond reasonable control of Seitz Phototechnik which prevents or hinders the conduct of the Competition or the ability of Seitz Phototechnik to deliver the Prize to the Winner, then Seitz Phototechnik may in its sole discretion cancel the Competition. Further, Seitz Phototechnik may at its sole discretion recommence it under the same conditions.
20. The entry must be entered in accordance with these Conditions of Entry. By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Conditions of Entry. Seitz Phototechnik may at its sole discretion refuse to award the prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Conditions of Entry.
