The Jury's Opinion:

This shot brilliantly conveys a sensation of speed, movement and life. The motion-blurred background seems to rotate, retreat and advance, inducing an involuntary urge to 'hold on'. One can sense the fun enjoyed by subjects and photographer alike. Excellent match with the theme, well composed technically.

2nd place:

Stephan Rapke

1981, Germany

The Jury's Opinion:

Very creative concept. We like the sense of a "story" captured in a single photograph. This exquisitely timed slice of life oozes speed and motion and encapsulates the set criteria perfectly. The wide depth of perspective further intensifies a sense of movement and drama. The photographer not only rose to this challenge with spectacular success, but dared to make it his feature.

3rd place:

Benoit Ancelot

1961, France

The White Dress

The Prize:
1 Roundshot Shopping Voucher
(Value: 800 Swiss Francs / 500 Euro)

The Jury's Opinion:

We love the sense of movement in this image. The diagonal composition really helped to make this a great shot. The young woman's flirtatiously blurred motions express the untroubled and carefree confidence of youth, beauty and life enjoyed. The sensual ambiance of the location matches the whimsical mood of light and together they lure the viewer, siren-like, into the vast expanse of an etheral sky—and beyond. Meets the subject matter very well.
