With our standard 3/8'' thread third party products such as VR brackets or video rigs can be easily attached to the VR Drive motor unit. | | The VR Drive "quality mode" is the base functionality for panoramas up to 360° (or more). The camera is stopped in every position. This mode is used for panoramas with difficult lighting conditions (indoors) and for bracketing and HDR images. >>> see video | | | In the "speed mode" the camera is rotated non-stop, ideal for moving scenes outdoors. As a rule of thumb, the camera shutter speed requires to be 1/500 sec. or faster (for a 6 second 360° rotation). >>> see video | | In the "turntable mode" the camera captures images of a rotating object on a turntable for object movies. Never miss an image, perfect positioning! | The "video mode" is designed for smooth automated video sweeps, both position- and time-controlled, horizontally (x) and vertically (y). It enables a variety of advanced control functions such as speed (also very slow), pause, repeat, delay, ramp (acceleration) and scheduler. >>> see video | | | In the "HDR mode" the camera is controlled by the VR Drive, enabling wider bracketing for 32-bit HDRs. Digital SLR cameras have a bracketing range limited to +/- 3 f-stops. For 32-bit HDR photography this is insufficient. The VR Drive "HDR mode" overcomes this limitation by controlling the camera software directly and allowing much wider bracketing options. It is an "all-in-one" solution - no additional devices are needed. | | With a minimum 6 second rotation and its ability to trigger the camera non-stop, the VR Drive is undoubtedly the fastest stitching tool in the market. The "speed mode" allows panoramas which were previously impossible, for example moving scenes and situations with fast changing light. For HDR bracketing the "quality mode" is used by which the camera is stopped in every position and released. Both modes enable an unsurpassed productivity and efficiency. | | We designed the VR Drive software with one thing in mind: ease of use. It can store up to 99 customisable programs, each of which can be selected at the tip of your finger on the new large colour touch screen. Every program contains camera information, nodal points, focal length, number of images, image rows, angle of rotation, positioning times and much more. | | | The VR Drive is a photographer's dream: small, compact and lightweight. It fits into any equipment bag. The built-in modern batteries are rechargeable and guarantee a long operation. The VR Drive motors are powerful and can be used horizontally, at 90° for vertical panoramas or upside down for turntable photography. It supports very heavy weights and achieves extremely fine positioning, ideal for multi-row and gigapixel images. | | The VR Drive is compatible with virtually all cameras - digital still and compact video cameras. In HDR mode most modern Nikon and Canon EOS cameras can be used. All lenses - from fisheye to tele lens - can be used with the VR Drive. The nodal point - specific for every lens and focal length - can be easily stored in the VR Drive software. Its solid build and very strong motors allows the VR Drive to support even the heaviest digital SLR or medium format cameras and lenses. | | | The digital camera can be connected with a release cable for standard triggering or via USB cable for advanced camera control. The VR Drive can also be controlled via computer or remotely via radio control - ideal for releasing the VR Drive from a distance - starting, stopping, pausing, retaking an image or an entire image sequence - easy! | | The Roundshot VR Drive advantage: | - very fast rotation and positioning speed possible (for example: 6 seconds for 360° in "speed mode")
- advanced touch screen technology and highest user convenience
- very compact solution with many hardware and software options that can be combined flexibly
- latest motor technology for extemely precise positioning
- new "video mode" functions never seen in an automated VR head before!
- new "HDR mode" making the VR Drive an "all-in-one" solution - no additional devices needed!
- product made in Switzerland - all hardware pieces carved from solid aluminium - by Seitz with established international customer service and over 50 years track record of excellence
